When the flowers have passed...

But you still need some color...

Tie a scrap of fabric onto a stick and jam it in the flower box. Add the branches that you just snipped off the shrub that grows too fast. Realize you need more yellow, and cut from the flower you don't know the name of, and poke them in as well.

Voila. Perhaps no one will realize that you killed off all the color. Perhaps they will think you have gone a little crazy. Perhaps you have. Gone a little crazy.
At least you still have color.

great things happen when you think outside the box to make the inside remain beautiful. Maybe you and your darling husband can go look for weeds in the ditches and make a very fall arrangement...if he is blessed he won't be allergic to the pollen, we went last year and found all kinds of different weeds, and the arrangement was b e a utiful and could have been more so with splashes of appropriate color...thanks

Well what do you know, pieces of fabric in a planter...that is a cute idea and from a distance it would look real!
Crazy? Maybe. Who cares!
